How to use a nasal spray

  1. Wash hands well with soap and water.
  2. Remove packaging from nasal spray pump.
  3. Prime the pump by spraying it several times into the air, well away from your eyes. It is now ready to use.
  4. Blow your nose gently.
  5. Close one nostril and tilt head forward.
  6. Insert nasal spray tip into the other nostril. Keep the bottle pointing upright, and point the tip toward the back and outer side of the nose.
  7. Give the required number of sprays into the nostril. Sniff deeply and breathe out through your mouth after each spray.
  8. Remove nasal spray tip from nose and tilt head back. Repeat steps 5-7 in the other nostril, if needed.
  9. Put the cap back onto the nasal spray container.
  10. Try not to blow your nose for several minutes after using the spray.
