Reference Guide: Sore muscles

Muscle aches are a common problem related to the excessive use of muscles or an injury caused by an abnormal exercise. Other common causes are tension and stress. We can lessen pain by applying heat (massages, baths, warm clothing), as well as by rest and relaxation. The Rougier products listed below can help to temporarily relieve muscle aches.

CAMPHORATED OIL
Topical analgesic with camphor for temporary relief of flu discomfort and muscle soreness.

CAMPHOR SPIRIT
(10% camphor in an isopropyl alcohol base).
For the temporary relief of muscle pains.

ISOPROPANOL 99% (Isopropyl alcohol USP)
Topical antiseptic for temporary relief of bruises, sprains and muscle aches. Also helps to prevent bed sores.

ISOPROPYL RUBBING ALCOHOL 70% USP
Topical antiseptic for temporary relief of flu discomfort and muscle stiffness or excessive perspiration.

OIL OF WINTERGREEN
Topical analgesic for the temporary relief of neuralgia, rheumatic pain and muscular aches.

RUBBING ALCOHOL COMPOUND (Ethanol)
Topical antiseptic for temporary relief of bruises, sprains and muscle aches. Also helps to prevent bed sores. As this product contains ethanol, it does not smell as strong as isopropyl alcohol.
